Bracklesham Bay facelift

A joint project between our Architectural and Building Surveying teams will see a prominent seafront property in Bracklesham Bay transformed.non-combustible over-cladding bracklesham bay

The 3-story residential dwelling is located directly on Witterings Beach at Bracklesham Bay with stunning views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.   The apartment block currently has an exterior brick finish and Daniells Harrison were approached by the managing agents to design, specify and project manage the installation of non-combustible over-cladding to the exterior of the building.

Steve Dickinson, in our Building Surveying department, carried out the review of the client’s requirements and assessment of the existing structure. Alex Jones, in our Architectural Department, has prepared the new designs and is overseeing the building regulation and planning approvals.  Steve will then manage a specification of works, competitive tendering, tender review and negotiation and contract administration during construction phase before completion and handover of the project.

The new cladding will be a non-combustible cedral-lap cladding. Particular attention has been paid to the detailing including fire cavity barriers.  Due to the beachfront location the cladding needs to be weather resistant – the materials selected will improve the weather resistance of the current brick fronted building.

A welcome facelift to the Bracklesham Bay property.
