Outline planning permission has been granted on appeal for the 7 acre site, next to St Swithun Wells Church, for the construction of up to 72 homes, including a new and amended junction with Allington Lane, new pedestrian links and the reconfiguration of the existing Church car park.
The principal obligations of the planning agreement include:
35% of the dwellings to be affordable units.
Provision of on-site open space and play area land.
Dedication of SINC land (Site of Importance to Nature Conservation).
Sustainable integrated transport contribution.
Public art contribution.
Community infrastructure contribution.
Off-site public open space contribution.
