This Grade II listed building was built in 1898 and originally served as a hospital for staff attached to the French Embassy in London. The hospital was run by nuns and received patients from the French Embassy in London and served French nationals. The building was sold for redevelopment in 1999 and had been briefly threatened with demolition; English Heritage listed the building at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance and following the sale, it was converted into 14 luxury apartments.

Daniells Harrison were appointed by the estate managers in January 2016 to consider the external condition of the building and to specify the necessary repairs and redecoration needed.  We then issued a competitive tender for the works to be undertaken.

Works were carried out from July to October 2017.  Our on-going role was as contract administrator, liaising with the estate managers, leaseholders and contractors to ensure completion of works to a high standard and in accordance with its listed status.
