Our property management department are delighted to announce their appointment as managing agents for Fareham based Price’s Lodge Estate.
Amanda Rickwood will be taking over the management of the residential estate from October, working in association with the owners and residents association to ensure that maintenance and gardening on the estate is kept to the highest possible standards whilst remaining cost-effective.
The Price’s Lodge Estate comprises of 82 three and four-bedroom houses on 12.4 acres. It was built on the land where Price’s School once stood. (The school was named after William Price, an eighteenth century Fareham timber merchant who in August 1721 bequeathed property, land and money for the foundation of a charity school in Fareham).
The houses are surrounded by an area of open ground, for which the owners of the houses on the estate pay an annual maintenance fee. This land is private property and is for the use of estate residents only. It is owned by a company called “Holdings and Management (Solitaire)”.
Daniells Harrison were appointed managing agents after a tender process earlier this year. The residential committee were keen to have a local Fareham company to manage the estate.
Paul Johnson of Price’s Lodge Residents Association said of the DHCS appointment;
“As well as the reduction in fees we should also see a significant up-tick in service. The [previous agents] have not sent anyone to the estate since last November. In contrast, Amanda has already arranged a meeting with a tree specialist to discuss the state of the trees on the estate, even though they haven’t taken over yet”.
Amanda is looking forward to getting to know the residents and estate on her regular visits.
