The Residential Surveying team at Daniells Harrison are the proud new owners of digital tablets loaded up with state of the art residential surveying software. The software, designed by e-Tech, has been rolled out across the department this month, in Fareham and on the Isle of Wight, and will enable the surveyors to carry out residential Mortgage Valuation Reports on behalf of a number of major lenders and also Homebuyer Surveys.
The software works remotely so no internet connection is required whilst on site. It captures data electronically, including site notes, annotated sketches and photographic evidence. The lenders forms are integrated into the software so the surveying team can provide the appropriate information tailored to each individual lender’s requirements.
Not only will it eliminate the need for any paper and speed up the process, it makes auditing more straight forward. All the information is automatically and securely backed up for 15 years, supporting regulatory compliance and stronger defensible claims.
Rob Hurlstone, Head of Residential General Practice at Daniells Harrison, welcomes the new software.
“They are simple to use and we are already seeing the many benefits. For example, the SMART Floor Plan App allows us to import OS MasterMap data for the postcode of the property so we can examine it in detail whilst on site. This software will enable us to service our client’s requirements more directly”.
The software is particularly suitable for properties of a standard, modern (post 1960s) construction.
